The dynamic musical duo made up of Maura and Fred Red set things off with the edgy new single “skinsinside” which comes with a set of pretty engaging visuals. The genre-bending duo delivers a smooth mix of soul/hiphop/jazz with Maura taking the helm. She switches between a low tone melodic performance with a carefree delivery for her rap verses. Diving into the delicate topic of self-identity and discovery, she takes the listener on a journey.
The visual is quite nifty too and makes use of several performance shots of the duo in an abandoned area or factory. “feels like my skin’s inside” is a freebie from the duo.
