Uprising Norwegian singer/songwriter Mathilde Widding returns to our site with her brand-new single “Tangled up in Blue”. The track is her fourth release from her upcoming album and is a showcase of her versatility and knack for pushing the envelope with every release. Armed with her commanding and old-soul-tinged vocal texture and gripping melodic runs, Mathilde takes listeners on a journey of love and the ups and downs that come with it. The production is rich and taps into the retro Motown era with its layered instrumentation made up of solid grooves, soulful guitar riffs, warm strings and punchy basslines to match.

Mathilde is currently working on her debut album, of which the songs “Stronger” and “Love” (and everything between) will be the first releases. These two songs will be an exciting taste of what’s in store for the album, in terms of Mathilde’s creative direction for the album.
