LunarBLVD is an LA-based hip-hop collective made up of MC Lunar, DJ BLVD, and Mark Alan. Their latest release is the video for the song “Black America,” an unapologetic and harrowing look at police brutality against people of color and minorities. Bolstered by a vibrant and somewhat cinematic backdrop, the group takes time to explore all the issues facing black folks and implores them to cast their vote in the upcoming election. The record also serves as a tribute to George Floyd, Oscar Grants case, and Black Lives Matter.

The visuals splice images from the various protests that happen across the latte of California and beyond with performance shots of MC Lunar.
