Montreal-based singer-songwriter Laraw  (Lara Rawadi) makes her way to TWIB with the visuals for her song “Pretty Necklace”.  Backed by a darkly trap-infused backdrop, she delivers an entrancing performance that meanders between melodic and rap-styled flows. In the vibrant visual for “Pretty Necklace,”  we get to see a woman of character: Funny, badass and energetic, she entertains a tight-knit group of friends at a pop-up BBQ hosted by her father. After losing her job, Laraw decided to help out the family business, never letting an opportunity go to waste, the “Pretty Necklace” video doubles as a makeshift commercial for her dad’s garage. Deeply passionate about fashion, the singer-songwriter occasionally models for local brands such as UPPL (Tamy Emma Pépin), Sokoloff Lingerie, Le artof. Up-and-coming designer, Rémi van Bochove (@ray.anh.tuan) custom-makes all her outfits, including those featured in “Pretty Necklace”.

Currently working with mentor and producer Tim Buron (Charlotte Cardin, Nate Husser, Rednext Level, Loud), Laraw who also studied sound design and music production is poised to take the industry by storm with her eclectic style. Rawadi writes to cope with life’s stressful ways, as a result, her words are raw, intimate, personal and quasi-therapeutical.

She plans to release her debut EP sometime this fall.
