Kanye West is a divisive figure it seems, you either love him or hate him. At Word Is Bond, we take a kinda middling view, more of a case of ‘what shoulda been’ rather than ‘what is’. There is no doubting though that when he wants to turn it up Kanye can write the smoothest, RnB styled rhymes. We saw that a lot on College Dropout and Late Registration, and while he’s fallen off lately this goes back to that era. White Dress, from the soundtrack to Man With The Iron Fists (out 23/10), is one of my favourite Kanye tracks of recent years, and reminds of the days of Roses and All Falls Down. Give him his props where it’s due.
