Two of my favourites J’Von and Ackryte finally release their debut collaborative LP raw sheep. A couple of years back they released the EP penguin jazz together, so their synergy has been on display and developed further for a while. There are no single weak links in the nine-strong track list, with Ackryte bringing his strongest slap game to the beats. As for J’Von, who’s less established in comparison; it’s a great display of his eloquence and whimsical delivery, and it’s a breakthrough release for someone who should now be known as one MC to look out for.
