JVLY is back with something for us to relax to during this lockdown period. His new release titled “aporia” is a soulful, stream of consciousness type record that strays from the norm in many ways. The production is a blend of downtempo, lo-fi and soul vibes and sees JVLY really going for a very eclectic and somewhat off-kilter vocal style.
The self-shot video was shot in Japan and later in Sydney before the Corona hit. he also employed the help of director Rodrigo Badoino to help piece everything together. The shots are spliced together in a cinematic style but with different aspect ratios as confirmed by Badoino. The concept was to present two sides of the same coin to the viewers.
“aporia” is available everywhere now via Mammal Sounds Records and he is currently working on a new ep which is set for release in June. Stream on all platforms here
