Jean~Baptiste reminds us of the good old 90s in his new single “RiP2TRAP” which sees him bemoaning the current state of rap and hip-hop. Over a punchy drum break and vocal scratches from the classic Gangstarr track, the rapper delivers a scathing attack on trap rappers, culture vultures, and perpetrators who don’t respect the culture of hiphop.

RiP2TRAP is exactly what it sounds like! A statement song that emphasizes the earlier roots of hip-hop while denouncing the path it has taken in recent years. A message that all true hip-hop fans can relate to.
