Horn Engine is a musical project by performing artist/composer Bill Dowling who has built his resume playing for several bands and orchestras as well as Aretha Franklin. The debut release from the project is titled “The World Above” and features vocalist Devyn Rush who comes through with an alluring and captivating vocal performance.

The track is a solid blend of neo-soul and jazz elements. From the snapping grooves, lush keys, and anthemic horns that drive the emotions to higher levels. Rush effortlessly engulfs the layered backdrop with her commanding vocals and sultry melodic runs that tap into the soul.
