Indie emcee Goose, Esq dropped the visuals for  his latest output “Cough it Up”. Over a smooth lo-fi backdrop, he describes his battles with smoking marijuana as a ‘last vice’ after years of hard drug abuse. The ‘cough it up’ chorus it intended to be a double entendre for both coughing up smoke and coughing up marijuana from my life.

He might be kicking laid back rhymes on the track but his true life story is not one to joke with as he is a recovering addict who made a song that addresses his issues with substance abuse, relating it back to marijuana in the hook. The ‘Cough it Up’ hook is a double entendre for both coughing up smoke, and ‘coughing up’ the bad habits in his life that he knows he has to quit.
