The 485s is a multi-genre group made of up of producer K-WOK, rapper Zeeth, and the ultimate crew. Their new release titled “Love Sick” is a pure blend of RnB/soul, retro electro-funk and hip-hop. It sure gives off a very nostalgic feel with its lush synths, hypnotizing groove and alluring melodies.

With influences from late 80s to 90’s hip hop artists like Lords of the Underground, Das EFX, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Digable Planets, Outkast, Jurassic 5, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and Jay-Z, all the way to contemporary styles and artists like Mac Miller, Anderson Paak, J.Cole, and Joey Badass, the 485s take stock from all these artists to become an amalgamation that serves the coldest and most authentic hip hop experience on stage.
The 485s have had their original tracks such as “Funk Train Express” and “The Ultimate Gift” played on radio stations like FBI radio and 2SER. Quoting from one of many shout-outs on FBI radio (94.5FM), the 485s have been described succinctly as “cool as hell”. In addition, the 485s have been featured on Pine Production’s blog for a more personal look into what makes this hip hop group.
Now that the ball is rolling, the 485s have a lot in store for 2019 as they plan to tear into the new year with a new EP, music video and look to tour nationally and internationally. So stay tuned and keep up with the formation of an energy and movement you may not want to miss.
