After dropping his charged up single “Beast Mode” a while back, London based emcee J The Exodus finally released his EP “Heart’s Desire“. Over 7 tracks, he paints gritty pictures referencing his trials, tribulations and much more over soulful, cinematic soundscapes.  Production on the EP comes from Telemachus (Klashnekoff, Roc Marciano, Verb T) and DemDrums (PartyNextDoor, Joe Grind, EA Games), while guest features come from label mate AKS, Orph Gang emcee YJ, and emerging singer-songwriter Julie Iwheta.

Speaking about the inspiration behind his Heart’s Desire EP, J The Exodus says, “This project represents an insight into some of my thoughts. Touching on my perspective from a socio-political standpoint, my musical frustrations, and my passions, while still having some fun and showing my rap skills on a couple of verses. All in all, the overarching message behind the project is about following one’s passion whatever that may be“.
