Philly raised musician Kameelah Waheed teams up with the good folks at Ramrock Red Records to present her debut EP Holding On. A 4 track body of work that displays a vast variety of genres and music styles ranging from tribal house, jazz, hip-hop, and more.

The original version of “Holding On” is a smooth groovy piece that blends tribal house, jazz, and Waheed’s smooth flow creating a hypnotic vibe that keeps the head nodding from start to finish. The ‘North Street West’ Vocal Remix version has a more funky/ breakbeat driven feel as the drums are vibrant and a lush texture is added to add some form of urgency to it all. The final version North Street Dub keeps the energy going with its somewhat stripped-down vibe and reflective synths.

The 3 versions of “Holding On” should appeal to multiple music fans as the musical range is broad but the integrity of the original doesn’t get diluted and the core essence is still retained.
