Varisty Squad – Welcome To Class (1st Period) (prod. DJ Vex)
Varisty Squad – Splash (prod. Buscrates 16-Bit Ensemble)
Varisty Squad – New School Boom Bap (prod. DJ Vex)
If you’re like me then no rhythms move you like those of the good old boom bap variety. Varsity Squad (Jon Quest & Beedie) have released an album that incorporates the sounds of the past but present it to you in a new school way. I haven’t even mentioned the incredible array of producers on this record: Buscrates, Shade Cobain, DJ Vex, Czentist, Git Beats and MassAppeal. This is definitely a head-nodding modern classic and deserves to be listened to.
