Fly Anakin is not resting on his oars and creeps to the forefront with this retro-tinged visual for his song “Black Be The Source.” The DJ Harrison-produced track is another solid collaboration with his longtime collaborator Pink Siifu and Billz Egypt. The track dwells on black excellence and the resourcefulness of these young black men doing what they can in the white man’s world.

The video was shot on a 16mm film in snowy NYC and captured the artists in their element. It is also spliced with black images and clips from over the years showcasing the deep history of black people in America.

“Black Be The Source” is the final single from Fly Anakin’s forthcoming album Frank.  Fly Anakin is set to release his debut studio album ‘Frank’ on March 11th via Lex Records. The album includes widely-praised singles ‘Ghost’, ‘Sean Price’, and the Madlib-produced ‘No Dough’, as well as link-ups with Richmond hero Nickelus F and Mutant Academy’s Big Kahuna OG and Henny L.O.. Anakin brings in beats from Madlib, Evidence, Jay Versace, Ohbliv, Foisey, Graymatter and Like of Pac Div.
