FKJ and Eryn Allen Kane share new single “I Want U” [Video]

Accomplished producer/multi-instrumentalist FKJ is working on a new album, but in the interim, he shares the single “I Want U.” The track is a Prince-inspired retro funk-soul-infused gem that finds him teaming up with Detroit-based songstress Eryn Allen Kane. The result is a blissful combination of live instrumentation comprising slick guitar licks drenched in raw funkiness, offbeat rhythms with minimalistic progression, all underpinned by an enthralling vocal performance by Eryn Allen Kane. Her sultry vocals seamlessly cascade over the backdrop with softness and siren-like runs as the lyrics dive into the unshakable feelings of being neck-deep in love.

“I Want U” is the fourth and final single to arrive ahead of his forthcoming album Tyber, out September 11, and it’s a follow-up to the previous singles, “Soulmates” and “Changes Rising”, and most recently “How Much Does It Take To Shift It All” (ft. Lucy Park).
