the bottomline – “MUSE”.

Cologne-based musical duo the bottomline caught our ears with “MUSE,” their latest single and video, showcasing their musical versatility and genre-bending style. The track has elements of modern jazz, soul, and a dash of contemporary flair, with a unique twist. Led by vocalist Johannes Elia Nuß and Franzis Lating, the track boasts dynamic vocal performances underpinned by a progressive musical arrangement that pulls listeners through crests and troughs of emotions. “MUSE”, as the name suggests, draws from the fluid feeling that comes with soul-searching through summer blues and how dark patches are blotted out by the natural beauty surrounding us, but ultimately it’s a self-worth anthem for everyone going through tough times. The accompanying video fuses performance shots with recurring reflective motifs that capture the duo’s natural style and essence.

The visual continues the band’s tradition of highlighting their studio sessions and sees them in their element alongside The SoulVision Allstars Horns.

Raykhan- “Reality”.

Raykhan looks at the harsh “Reality” in his new single. The solemn piece is really thought-provoking and gloomy as the rapper dissects everything wrong with the modern political and social sphere. From religious zealotry, political and racial divisions, to modern feminism and alternative worldviews, Raykhan bares his unfiltered thoughts with a frustrated undertone. The visual fuses performance shots with enggaing clips that bring the lyrics to life.

Burd & Keyz are presently working on their album, Burd’s Eye View, which will be out on the 31st of August. In the interim, they share the single “Miracles,” featuring TOBi, a soulful piece with Gospel undertones.  The track is bolstered by a cinematic visual that captures the collective in their element.

Homeboy Sandman & Jack Splash – “TAKE TIME”

As usual, the track is bolstered by Homeboy Sandman’s off-kilter lyricism and Jack Splash’s soul/funk backdrop.  Visually, the track is beautiful to watch as we follow the legendary emcee through different spots in the city.
