California based singer/songwriter Drea Rose‘s newest effort titled “Good” is a smooth funk-laden soul jam that showcases both her production prowess and laidback smoky vocals. As a producer, she sure knows her onions and crafts a smooth blend of funk, neo-soul laced with a dash of R&B vibe that we all can rock to. Far from sticking to the norm, she makes use of slinky funk guitars and lush synths to accentuate the verses and switches into an atmospheric section as the chorus sets in.

The song was co-written with songstress Katie Hargrove and both ladies share their various experiences as women trying to make their way through the testosterone-filled industry. Being the music industry can feel like one big boys club, these women are breaking the mold and looking beyond the egotistical elements of the industry.
