donSMITH recently put out his new project Don’t Ask Me Where I’m From but he is definitely not resting on his oars as he delivers the visuals for the song “Group Chat.” The record is an honest and unapologetic look at gentrification and the ongoing struggle within black and brown communities. Backed by Zoomo‘s laidback somber backdrop, donSMITH tackles the ongoing changes in his community.

The video is quite engaging and cinematic. It starts with the rapper seated between two white ladies donning the classic NY caps to his dismay and continues with various clips capturing the progression of the song.

“Group Chat” is a record from donSMITH’s new album, Don’t Ask Me Where I’m From produced entirely by Zoomo. Stream the project on Spotify below.
