In their latest chapter they sit down with DJ Spinna to talk about Herbie Hancock’s record “Come Running With Me” made famous in the hip hop world by the one and only J Dilla on the Slum Village track “Get Dis Money”.
On this weeks episode…… According to DJ Spinna, “Herbie Hancock’s, “Come Running to Me” has been sampled by a lot of producers, but never how Dilla did it,” on Slum Village’s, “Get This Money. ”We sat until the wee hours of the night talking about chopping records. “There was nothing out at the time that sounded or felt like this track.”
