UK based singer Desta French is making waves with her Latin flavored trap-soul music. She doesn’t try to hide her true roots and she delivers with such passion and emotion on every release. Her newest piece titled “Tabaco Y Ron” once again brings tot he foreground her soothing melodic vocals layered over thumping salsa-tinged trap beat

“Tabaco Y Ron” is taken from her new EP San Lazarus. The EP is her first all Spanish project. The project is a fusion of styles ranging from Salsa, Latin Trap and R&B vibes. Desta embarks on a beautiful bilingual journey, through hazy atmospheres and golden-era tinged melodies. From start to finish the San Lazarus EP is truly authentic work of self-expression

On the creation of the record, Desta explains: “The process of writing San Lazarus was the therapy I needed to process a broken heart. It was also the process of me proclaiming my cultural identity with no fear.”
