The UK based Latin X act Desta French doesn’t hide her roots and wants the world to acknowledge that. On her new single “Aguanta” she blends a handful of styles from R&B, Salsa, and elements of trap music to create an alluring putti-platter. Armed with a smooth mellow voice, French makes use of soft sublime melodies that tap into the spirit of vintage Spanish R&B for the most part and also switches into a unique melody-laden rap showcasing her love for hip-hop. She does this quite effortlessly and doesn’t try to force anything.

“Aguanta” is taken from her upcoming E.P.  Get it on all DSPs here or Apple Music//Deezer//Soundcloud
