Guru, of Gangstarr, will be honored by Converse with a limited edition pair of sneakers. For those who don’t know, Guru passed away in April of last year due to cancer. The cover of his first mix tape will be features on the outside and the inside of the shoe and his signature will be on the inside of the tongue. Only 50 pairs will hits the shelves and you can (try to) pick them up at www.thexlabel.com and www.theavevenice.com. It’s a great way to celebrate, in my opinion, one of the more underrated artists of hip hop.
