Berlin-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist D.$AHIN was born in Istanbul but moved to Germany in the early 1990s with her family. Soaked in between traditional Turkish music and Western pop sounds, she developed her love for music at an early age. Majusbeats on the other hand developed his style during his music studies at University and graduated in jazz piano.

The duo’s latest collaboration “RawCut” is a bold and dynamic love ballad that blends R&B, neo-soul, pop and a dash of hip-hop swagger into its arrangements. Over the layered guitar riffs, lush keys and hypnotic grooves, D.$AHIN delivers a heartfelt and insightful look into internal conflict and lack of firm decisions with lines like  “Will you ride this wave/Is compass safe/How can you be sure?/Do you all blame all else/Only see what sells/Hiding in a cure“. The record is a result of remote collaborations between the two artists who met during the latter part of the global lockdown in 2021.
