Emerging North London-based rapper Custodian makes his entrance on our site with the cinematic visuals for his single “RISE.” The record is a hard-hitting and insightful track that aims to speak for the voiceless in society while detailing real-time issues such as addiction, mental health problems, and the effects of the pandemic. Bolstered by a dark drill soundscape, Custodian delivers an impassioned and somewhat off-kilter flow ripe with evocative and self-empowering lyrics that listeners can appreciate.

The song also comes with a gripping and cinematic visual shot by Will Fidler from the renowned Oliver Brian Productions (Nafe Smallz, Fizzler). Taking inspiration from games such as Call Of Duty and GTA, viewers can see Custodian and his squad go deep into the most infected areas to take out the threats. The visual is some sort of metaphor for the current state of affairs as it uses motifs of biohazard neo-nazis, covid vaccines, and even a Boris Johnson impersonator to drive home his point.
