Multi-talented singer/songwriter Carly Pearl remains fearless as she continues to push her musical envelope on every release. With a solid legacy as the lead singer of The Scruffy Pearls and carving her legacy on her own terms, she returns with “Prime Time,” an anthem for anyone, specifically women who think their best is behind them. The laidback soulful piece serves as an affirmation of feminine strength and the never-ending pressures society puts on women. Partly inspired by her pregnancy and determination to prove critics and naysayers wrong, Pearl delivers the perfect modern-day mantra that celebrates women. Lines like
“I’m in my Prime Time/Wild and untamed/Just like a fine wine
Gets better with age/I’m in my prime time/Aint no expiration date/Prime Time is my time to shine/Prime Time is when I decide”
Underscore the timeless message that is much needed in these times.
