Alternative indie band BRBRCK & the iLL harmonic do not let the global lockdown hold back their talents as they link up virtually for the video for their song “Champagne Hangover (Dub Remix).” The track is a pupu platter of genres and styles which all merge in a seamless fashion. The track juxtaposes aggressively anti-establishment lyrics with upbeat reggae- and dub-inspired instrumentation. And while the original beat for the song was written during a literal champagne hangover, the title is a figurative examination of where BRBRCK sees us at this present moment.

Both the song and the music video for “Champagne Hangover (Dub Remix)” were created completely remotely, allowing the dynamic artists of the iLL harmonic to present their own visions for the project.

The video makes use of the Zoom-style Steadicam presentation to deliver a trippy, sexy, funny tour de force from all 7 members of the group. It’s pretty much a fun-filled affair as we get to see each member in their element making the best out of the situation and creating refreshing art at the same time.

BRBRCK and the iLL harmonic are Mike Berberich (vox), Aaron Butler (piano), Josch Chodakowski (DJ), Jason Consolacion (guitar), Amanda Kay Crystal (vox), Ryan Dinger (guitar), and Andrew Friedman (bass). Joining the band for the video are Ryan’s partner Katelyn, Aaron’s wife Mattie, and 2-year-old daughter Sage, as well as an anthropomorphic Ernie puppet belonging to DJ Inbetween.
