Nigerian emcee Boogey first blazed WIB  last year with the profound, thought-provoking video of his single Sanctum and has since been putting work on his upcoming project called TINNA (This Is Not An Acronym).  For his latest single called ‘Salute Me’, Boogey recruits emcees Sabre, Lord V and Afro-soul songstress Aduke to complete the cypher on this dark, military-themed track. All the suspects bring in different styles and perspective to keep the listener enthralled from start to finish.

Excellent work once again from the wordsmith.

“…I’m Saddam Hussein with a noose loose and a statue intact

I don’t capture, in fact

I catch you and hack you to pieces.

I don’t know what peace is…”

“Salute Boogey as he kicks off the Countdown to TINAA, with Aduke, Lord V & Sabre riding shotgun”

The countdown to TINAA (This Is not An Acronym), Boogey’s upcoming collaboration with producer Charlie X, is officially underway as the AbOriginal MC releases the first single from the project, Salute Me.

Over a pounding, insistent beat cooked up by Charlie X, Boogey and his guest MCs, Sabre & Lord V, deliver aggressive bars demanding respect for their skills and warning weaker MCs the end is near for their rap careers. Powered by a fiery, soaring, fiery chorus from AfroSoul singer, Aduke, the song is both an impressive musical call to arms from the four “underground” shining lights, and an irresistible street banger for music heads AND mainstream listeners.

TINAA (This Is Not An Acronym) is scheduled for release in May.
