Two years ago Awkword released a project called, World View. A title he evidently didn’t take lightly. His voyage featuring emcees, DJ’s and producers from across the globe. Garnering contributions from 6 continents and 16 countries, proving to be the first ever 100% for charity global Hip-Hop collaboration. His mission? To learn and spread awareness of certain issues, and to give back as well.

As you’ll discover on the Teck-Zilla produced, current release “I Am” which encompasses 9 countries and 4 continents on an astonishing seven-minute long excursion.

The first to hit the mic is Modenine a.k.a. Mode 9 from Nigeria, followed by Awkword himself. In addition, he’s accompanied by (listed by order of appearance) Five Steez (Kingston, Jamaica), Holstar a.k.a. Heavy Obstreperous Lyricist Style Tremendous and Amazing Rhymes (Zambia), Latasha Alcindor a.k.a. L.A. (U.S.), Third Eye (Malawi), Wakazi (Tanzania), The Assembly (South Africa) & DJ J Hart. The line-up, further demonstrating and solidifying Awkword’s alliance created through Hip-Hop culture and rap music.

All proceeds from World View are being donated to Guns 4 Cameras (G4C), a 501c3-registered nonprofit that goes beyond the gun-exchange, working to eradicate street violence through the Hip-Hop inspired education and empowerment of our at-risk youth.
