Some fresh frunk from ‘The Funk Ark’. A funky big band but there’s more to them than that….
Based in Wash DC, The Funk Ark is a world funk ensemble and draws influences from the African and Latin funk/dance music scenes of the 60s & 70s. The result is a gritty and soulful mix of inspired afrobeat and big band funk.
Kinda like Fela Kuti I guess. It’s real good. Album coming out early April.
