Introducing aNTOJE. This is the first I’m hearing of the Montreal native, but he’s captured my attention immediately with an impressive collection of wonky productions called Booyung LP, released on Cascade Records. Drums with enough swing to question what time is are layered with collections of lo-fi sounds and synths – with what sounds like a heavy use of Roland-provided effects – to create what could well be a soundtrack to ‘Super Mario on Acid’. It also features Cauzndefx and Airospace, two MCs who I rate heavily – and two more MCs appropriate for this body of work I can’t think of.

Purchase digitally (only 3 dollars!) and try and catch one of the handful of cassette tapes that are left in stock!
