Spanish Harlem-raised singer/songwriter Adrielle Bow Belle released her debut single “Runway” in 2017 and in the same year, she was a recipient of the International Songwriting Award. She hasn’t looked back since and her 2019 album, The Nightlight Visual E.P cemented her place in the scene as an uprising talent. Her latest release titled “Breaking News (Soul Food)” is a heartfelt and unapologetic track that talks about the black American experience. It is emotional, somewhat harrowing and eye-opening as well. Adrielle doesn’t shy away from being true and nuanced all throughout the track and the way she peppers the track with her distinct melodic vocals also adds that soulful touch to complete the job.
