“believe” is the latest release from South London-born singer-songwriter JGrrey who is currently preparing for her debut album, you, me and jen, due for release on 16th October. The single is an uplifting piece that dives into spiritual awakening, the power of self-belief and the uncertainties that follow the path to true purpose. Leaning on modern soul with contemporary pop sounds and a tinge of Gospel and inspirational themes, JGrrey takes listeners on a soul-searching journey filled with ups and downs. The production by Humble The Great is a dynamic and layered canvas filled with cinematic textures, rousing guitar riffs and grooves that rise to a crescendo as the singer reaches an emotional peak.

The single offers another window into ‘you, me and jen’, a deeply personal album shaped by the many versions of JGrrey that have existed throughout her life. As she puts it:

Agoraphobic, a bad friend, an addict, a disappointment, a daughter, an intense girl you knew briefly, a bully, a comedian, a stylist, a sex worker, a good time and a fucking nightmare. When I was adopted, my mother Sadra told me I could do anything I wanted, and I’ve decided that I want to be here for you. Because there is no me without you.”
