The music video format has been around for decades, from the 90s and 2000s, and has shifted from multi-million-dollar-budget music videos to mid- to low-budget videos with exceptional production values. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.

KhakiKid x Kojaque – “Rude”.
Multi-talented Irish rapper/songwriter KhakiKid unveils the visuals for his song “Rude” as he prepares for his new EP. The feel-good track that highlights relationship drama, friendship, and the power of seizing the moment and savouring each minute. The production has a contemporary pop feel with modern hip-hop stylings and finds KhakiKid teaming up with Kojaque for a tandem of lyrical jousting underpinned by vivid imagery. The visual directed by award-winning filmmaker Robert Bass follows KhakiKid, Kojaque and Kean Kavanagh through a series of hilarious situations that test their mettle and highlights their natural camaraderie.
The Nth Power – “Simple Life”
The Nth Power unveil the visuals for their new single “Simple Life,” lifted from their forthcoming LP Never Alone (out May 1st). The track is an anthemic funk/soul-infused cut with a modern contemporary finishing that highlights the band’s diversity and versatility. Bringing in the power of the New Orleans brass ensemble, The Soul Rebels, the collaboration is effortless and pairs rousing drum grooves, rich chord arrangements, with soul-stirring vocal performances by guitarist Nick Cassarino and drummer Nikki Glaspie. The accompanying video taps into that same energy, capturing the band in their element in a relaxed, performance-driven setting that takes viewers into their space, and we see how the musicians work their magic.
TaReef KnockOut – “Blessings”
TaReef KnockOut counts his “Blessings” on his latest release. The track sees the rapper showing gratitude for every success and acknowledging how the struggle reshapes his life outlook. Over the soulful vocal sample-driven soundscape, TaReef delivers an energetic and emotionally punchy performance punctuated with vivid storytelling and a dash of bravado. The visuals shot by ChuChito rely on his performance style and find him in his element as he walks about his stomping grounds with raw confidence.
K-Trap – “Change”.
UK rap artist K-Trap connects with G-Herbo for “Change,” a no-holds-barred showing of their lifestyle and the hurdles they have to overcome to become legends in the game. Over a moody and dark drill-trap-infused soundscape, K-Trap leads the way with a detailed tale of the never-ending grind and the pros and cons. This is followed by G-Herbo’s commanding flow and edgy lyrics that lean into the same spirit even though he is from opposite sides of the Atlantic. The accompanying visual brings the duo together in a unified front.
