Cenza & Hamorabi – “OH”

French rappers Cenza and Hamorabi enter our visual playlist with “OH,” a mid-2000s banger that explores messy relationships and the unpredictable outcomes. Both emcee unapologetically delivers their bars and give listeners quite a nuanced take on modern relationships. It’s a mix of fun, cheekiness and reflective bars, and the visual has a retro feel too, using the 2000s club scene as its motif.

Blaqbonez x LEOSTAYTRILL – “Mary Mary”

Blaqbonez and LEOSTAYTRILL  help close this week’s playlist with “Mary Mary,” a playful jam that talks about the excesses of the modern baddies who are out to secure their bag. The production by Jae5, Blaise Beatz, and Dera is smooth, polished and bouncy while Blaqbonez’s signature melodic flow and graphic storytelling takes the cake. Leostaytrill is not far behind as well and enhances the track with a solid verse. The visual was shot in London during Blaqbonez’s recent appearance at the London Fashion Week.
