Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we look at some exceptional visuals from various acts around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades, through the 90s and 2000s, and it has taken flight from multi-million dollar budget music videos to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.
Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

Cymarshall Law x Slimeline Mutha – “Broken Dreams”
Veteran emcee Cymarshall Law teams up with UK beatmaker Slimline Mutha for “Broken Dreams.” Over a smooth soulful backdrop, the emcee share more than a handful of gems for listeners to pick up. From self afirmation, reflection, loss, pain and emotional struggles, Cymarshall Law gives listeners a clear perspective and something to think about. The visuals are performance based and focuses on the rapper’s spirited energy.
The new single is a taken from Cymarshall’s highly anticipated album, The Peaceful Warrior 2: Raw Self-Expression, dropping June 13 via Freedom Entertainment, with distribution by Fat Beats (physical) and Soul Spazm (digital).
Thirstin Howl The 3rd – “Black Angeles”
Thirstin Howl The 3rd continues his visual releases and the latest “Black Angeles” solidifies his efforts with another notch on his belt. The track is a ciematic piece brimming with rich lyrical display from the Lo general and TMP (The Microphone Prince). The visuals follows the duo as nightclub clients with the late Hurricane G as the spanish songstress in the flick. The visual is released in time for her post-humous birthday. In addition to Thirstin Howl The 3rd, Hurricane G and TMP, the cast also features DJ Exes (also of Grupo HNE) as well as Lo-Life affiliate/emcee Luey The 4th.
A counterpart to the previously released Don Chicharron mixtape, the film takes place in Thirstin and TMP’s fictional nightclub Grandma’s House and contains a number of musical performances over classic salsa, latin soul and bongo breaks. Listen to the full Don Chicharron mixtape here.
Footsie x Strategy – “Kwik Wontoo”
The UK rap duo Footsie and Strategy continue their visual releases with “Kwik Wontoo” being the latest. Backed by the plucky and energetic backdrop provided by Toddla T, the duo trade bars brimming with football metaphors and references that would leave Red Devils fans rejoicing especially in the visuals that shows both emcees donning the slick Manchester United kits.
Smokey Smothers x myahstorm- “Not A Drill”
Smokey Smothers and Myah Storm team up for “Not A Drill,” a hard-hitting track taht shocass raw visceral raps over a cinematic trap soundscape. Both emcees go against the grain with their unapologetic lyricism and energetic flows. The accopmanying visuals sees the duo punishing a shady record executive who tries to con and sell them fake dreams.
McCabe – “Days of Heaven”
South London experimental soul artist McCabe unveils the visuals for his new single “Days of Heaven.” The sophomore single from McCabe’s debut LP Sunset Boulevard is a nostalgic Motown-soul-pop styled track that captures the euphoria of love at first sight. From the groovy bounce, warm textures and McCabe’s soothing melodic runs, the track serves as a doorway to a blissful world filled with hope and joy. The accompanying visual follows McCabe cycling across town hoping to meet with that special lady who caught his eye.
bat zoo – “Diamond Lane”
Emerging eclectic artist bat zoo enters our visual playlist with “Diamond Lane,” a future soul tune that explores fleeting memories and the solemnity that follows it. The production is moody, punchy and lush and bat zoo’s laidback yet enthraling vocals cut through the mix like hot knife through butter. The visual have a cinematic and motif-driven vibe that feels like a snapshot of bat zoo’s mind where he is trying to find true solace.
JupiterReign – “All Mine”
Emerging singer/songwriter JupiterReign -help close this week’s list with “All Mine.” The sultry R&B cut explores the dynamics of holding on to a love that is detromental to your well being. The laidback tune sees the singer putting her all on the line as she finds reasons to stay but ultimately, she has to let go and move on. The accompanying visual captures the Nova Scotia singer in her element.
