Dance music’s founding father of Ancestral Soul offers up his sophomore studio album “Transition”, another rousing body of work which delves deep and wide across a spectrum of soul and African music.

Boddhi Satva’s debut full-length studio 2011/2012 album Invocation, released on Vega Records/BBE Music attracted endorsement from some of music’s most respected tastemakers, Gilles Peterson being one of them.
It set the bar high for where Boddhi Satva continues to take audiences currently on the new album Transition. And as before, the roster of names contributing to the set is a-class.
Nigerian pop star Davido and Ivorian Coupé Decalé forerunner DJ Arafat featured together on Naughty wave the flag high for West Africa – It’s a pulsating track leading the current wave of dance-leaning club music popular in the region and beyond. For the signature tradi/modern African sounds Boddhi turns to renowned elder statesmen such as Les Nubians (Cameroon), Kaysha (DRC), Nelson Freitas (Cape Verde), Amos Kangala (Central African Republic) or the new prince of the Malian/Ivorian scene Mohamed Diaby (Ivory Coast).
