Kid$ Next Door – Sunset$

The duo Kid$ Next Door have dropped Sunset$, a 15 track project which I would categorise as ‘cloud rap’. The chemistry is evident between producer/emcee Frander and singer/emcee Esther, and their styles have this off-kilter, El-P-esque feel to it. Musically it is exactly what you would expect: ethereal, dreamy soundscapes, but it still sounds dynamic and different. Old heads may brush this off but this here is something unorthodox that needs to be paid attention to.
