This Thursday, the Grammy-award producer and legend 9th Wonder and hiphop legend and icon Big Daddy Kane will be inducted in the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame Museum in Kannapolis, NC.

According to the website, the ceremony will be open to the public, yet there will be a pre-ceremony for VIP ticket holders.

Last year, NC governor Roy Cooper declared 2018 as ‘year in music’ back in November. Back in September, the world stood still with a surprising, and yet shocking performance as 9th reunited with Big Pooh and Phonte for a one-time show under the alias Little Brother at Art Of Cool festival. They were split up for 10 years before their performance.

9th Wonder has been busy with bringing attention to his state. He’s been holding down his JAMLA labelmates – with Rapsody being one of the leading artists on the label from Snow Hill. In 2018, Rap’s Laila’s Wisdom was nominated for two grammys. This year, EVE has been the talk in music, especially with her recent performance at the BET Awards.

On the other side of things, last year Big Daddy Kane sat in for an interview with Funkmaster Flex and DJ Mister Cee for his I Got A Story To Tell segment. Around the 45:00 mark, he discusses how he and JAY Z linked up for the first time.

The ceremony is set to go down around 7pm. Tickets are still available for purchase.
