Captain Murphy is an unknown rapper who got people talking when he appeared on the Flying Lotus Adult Swim release alongside Earl Sweatshirt. Now, when I say unknown rapper, I mean that he sounds almost the same as Tyler The Creator with a slightly altered voice. Same flow, same aggressive spitting pronunciations, same references to kitties. But eh, who knows, and who really cares, it sounds real good. The beat is from TNGHT’s self titled EP, which is absolutely nuts, you gotta listen, some real dope minimalist beats. It only works with bass though. Slap the bass.
