Right here is all the music you’d ever need in the world, that I found through The Jazz Meet . ‘Black Classical‘ has put together an amazing 12 hour mix of Spiritual Jazz taken from the archives to celebrate the art form, one that had been, to some extent anyway, condemned to history by way of the rarity and obscurity of the records of music of this nature. Tracklist and more info after the jump.

The age of the music spreads from 1957 right up to 2012, and features an incredible number of artists, from Alice Coltrane (pictured), to her husband John, through to Sun Ra, on to Ornette Coleman and many many more.

The compiler is Black Classical, who’s done a few before and demonstrates his knowledge, collection and on point taste over this, well, half day mix. As for The Jazz Meet, they’re a dope Jazz blog and London event (which I may have to go down to fairly soon). Make sure you add them to your bookmarks. You can also download the mix via The Jazz Meet below.
