Legendary west coast duo ZION I share the stunning visuals for their song “Kali Yuga.” The anthemic styled song continues the trend set by the duo for their highly cerebral form of hip-hop. The production here is engaging from start to finish with its cinematic textures laced with ominous vocal hums and anthemic horns to match. Zumbi, as usual, comes through with his stylish flow and ear-grabbing lyricism that dwells into life, spirituality and all the elements that bound us as total human beings.

The visual directed by  Joseph Buckley Campbell is pretty powerful and abstract too who with his team help transform the already-stellar “Kali Yuga” into something bigger, in part due to the effects and scope of what occurs as Zion-I emcee Zumbi delivers his rhymes. It may seem simple at first, but the way everything unfolds and envelops him is truly something to watch

“Kali Yuga” is taken from their 2018 LP, Ritual Mystik and the video is in promotion of their new summer tour, The Underground Railroad Tour, with rappers Equipto, Vocab Slick and DJ True Justice. Here’s how Zumbi described the video: “My vision of Kali Yuga is that of a human being walking through life, with the different energies of one’s life personified.”
