Washington D.C-based Gabon artist Ya Minko returns with the gripping visual for his single “Debriefing”. The genre-bending tune is a blend of soothing melodic flows underpinned by thoughtful and reflective lyrics that dive into soul searching and the importance and the freeing nature of emotional vulnerability and healthy interdependence. Over a rousing, cinematic soundscape made up of lush plucks, arpeggios, and warm textures, Ya Minko delivers a plethora of uplifting lyrics and implores listeners to be one with nature inn order to grow.

The visual concept follows Ya Minko with a group of spiritual practitioners, each caught in a ritualistic cipher. It also employs fast-paced cuts, performance shots of the artist and a seamless transition tying each scene together into one cohesive piece.

Ya Minko was born in the French speaking ex-French colony Gabon. He now lives in the Washington D.C. area. Though predominantly focused on Hip-Hop/Rap, his music is also influenced by the many sounds present in his cultural background.
