Oh wow, this is pretty incredible. Xolisa is a new name to me – and most likely a new name to you to – but I hope she becomes more familiar because she appears to be a very interesting MC. Having started at the age of 10 with rhymes swayed by the influence of Digable Planets, DOOM and Tribe, Xolisa’s flow is unique which is normally a luxury only offered to spoken word, abstract like poetry out of its comfort zone but with a subtle exceptional technicality. The dreamy visuals of her debut video compliment it perfectly. For more info, read after the jump

Canadian producer/vocalist Xolisa’s debut video is a perfect representation of her passion and the heartfelt music she creates. Be Felt is a bass driven gem propelled by Xolisa’s melodic flow. Remisiscent of early Ursula Rucker, she’s not just a spoken word artist but so much more. Visit her bandcamp pagehttp://xolisa.bandcamp.com to truly feel where she is coming from!

Be Felt is also the first single to be released from BamaLoveSoul.com’s upcoming compilation On Deck. Featuring artists from around the globe, the album contains vocal and instrumental tracks that range from jazzy soul to funky broken beat and even spoken word!
