While looking around the Internet for that last post, I spotted The Green LP ‘Sour Stacks & Hustling Jacks‘ out of the corner of my eye. Naturally my intrigue lead me to investigate further and I’m glad I did, because I was rewarded with some classic ish. The Green LP is a release put together by SIX2SIX records and features the likes of lyrical heavyweights Masta Ace, Guilty Simpson, Copy Write, Rass Kass and Sparrow (the last of which has an album coming out on SIX2SIX this year) over production handled entirely by the dope Marco Polo, who dictates like The Green LP is his own empire. Unfortunately the green 12″ has already sold out, but you can still purchase the album digitally or on coloured CD. What this definitely does is place record label SIX2SIX on the map; based out of Baltimore and New York, it’sdefinitely a name of interest
