Columbus, OH-based rapper/producer duo made up of TrigNO and Sean Starks caught our ears with their blend of street edge lyrics and dark hard-hitting production. They share two solid joints off their new tape with us.
The first cut on deck is titled “KOMP” and has a laidback, ominous texture with crunchy drums. TrigNO comes through with his calm delivery peppered with a whole lot of bravado and vivid imagery that exudes the spirit of a young OG in the game. Get “KOMP” on Apple Music//Deezer
The second cut ” Shorty Up North” makes use of an RnB/soul sample and a solid drum groove. The track is crisp and slick and sees TrigNO kick a love story with an interesting twist at the tail end. It’s quite emotional and gives the listener a relatable view of being involved with someone who is incarcerated and dealing with all the extra drama surrounding the situation. It’s quite solemn and reflective too.
