Montreal artists Little Benjamin and Chung team up for “Motion Hideous,” a laidback soulful piece underpinned by heartfelt lyricism.
Moon Maison – “ALTAR”.
Singer/songwriter Moon Maison caught our ears with her latest release “ALTAR.” The track comprises warm guitar licks and nostalgia-inducing aesthetics underpinned by her rich vocal runs and poetic songwriting and of course and alluring melodic arrangement.
werdperfect – “Daring Test”.
Cleveland, Ohio native Werdperfect‘s “Daring Test” is another notch on his belt. He delivers his distinct expressive style filled with vivid lyricism and engaging rhyme schemes over a head-nodding soundscape.
Mighty Theodore – “Return Of Zulu Beat” (feat. Casual & Moka Only)
Mighty Theodore teamed up with Casual and Moka Only for his new single “Return Of Zulu Beat.” Over the dusty cinematic jazz soundscape, the emcees deliver a plethora of off-kilter and somewhat reflective bars that will make one ponder. This is the first single release from Mighty Theodore’s new album The Old Rap Language arriving via URBNET on Dec 13, 2024.
Jay Luse – “Usually”
Emerging rapper/songwriter Jay Luse unveils his new single “Usually.” The track blends future-soul/lofi elements with a touch of alternative hip-hop. Over the sublime backdrop, he reflects on basking in the arms of that special someone who brings him joy.
Sose the Ghost – “Hate Me”
Sose the Ghost gets back on his business with “Hate Me,” a dark and hard-hitting track that explores resilience in the face of hate.
JOMEGA – “2 BOLD”.
DMV-area-based duo JOMEGA caught our ears with their latest release “2 BOLD.” The track has a playful vibe and showcases its expressive flow and versatile songwriting that is both appealing and forward-thinking. The style pays homage to the early 2000s hiphop that we grew up on.
Luke French – “Raw Talk”
Rising Nova Scotia-born, Halifax-based rapper Luke French drops his debut single “Raw Talk.” The track is a drumless soulful tune comprising solemn strings and sublime vocal samples underpinned by Luke French’s edgy off-kilter bravao raps. The track is released via NoLoveNorthern, an Atlantic Canadian hip-hop label owned by Jayden Duplessis (aka JayTheKidd).
Noa Lauryn – “Layers of Time”
Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter Noa Lauryn shares the new single “Layers of Time” featuring producer Felix Hein who laces her with a jazz-soul soundscape. Here, Lauryn delivers a soul-stirring vocal performance ripe with heartfelt and uplifting lyrics.
K-Hill x Jah Freedom – “Rudiments 2”.
Rapper K-Hill and veteran producer Jah Freedom deliver “Rudiments 2,” a hard-hitting lyric-dense track that is underpinned by fiery raps and expressive flows and rhyme schemes that tap into his status as a time-tested emcee.
Ev Malone – “Applying Pressure”
Pittsburgh, PA-based rapper Ev Malone‘s newest single “Applying Pressure” focuses on goals and chasing one’s dreams. The soundscape is cinematic and dark and it fits Ev Malone’s melodic flow on the chorus and relatable verses.
Q.Rock639 – “Q Alwayz Into Somethin'”.
The OG Q.Rock639 drops off “Q Alwayz Into Somethin’,” a somewhat playful tune that showcases his versatile lyricism and knack for using off-kilter soundscape.
Consiglio x Max Minelli x Dylan Cage – “Stand Down”
“Stand Down” is the latest release from Baton Rouge artist Consiglio who recruits Louisiana natives Max Minelli and Dylan Cage for a hard-hitting track “Stand Down.” The track produced by MVPDontSleep flips a familiar sample into something new for the rappers to share their street-savvy tales.
Showrocka x Larussell x D Breezy – “Resign”
Showrocka , Larussell and D Breezy team up for “Resign,” a heartfelt summer-tinged track that explores feel-good vibes of the good times when they didn’t have to worry about the world.
The Inglorious Poet – “STAND SO HIGH” ft. Lu’Ami & Four Limbs”.
The Inglorious Poet returns to our playlist with “STAND SO HIGH” featuring singer/songwriter Lu’Ami and producer Four Limbs. The track samples a classic soul song and flips it into a moody and brooding beat underpinned by The Inglorious Poet’s thought-provoking raps about the mysteries of the world. He is joined by Lu’Ami who adds a soul-stirring hook on the chorus.
Ozy x SUPER FREDDY – “Maradona” (feat. SUPER FREDDY)”.

Zel Monstrous – “Scooters In Minnesota”
Brooklyn-born rapper Zel Monstrous caught our ears with his new single “Scooters In Minnesota.” The track sees the rapper reflecting on a past relationship and regrets severing the connection. Backed by the warm and solemn backdrop, he shares some interesting details about said relationship and how he had to deal with his own insecurities and flaws, hoping she hears this song.
Coolkulture & RIIIVER JORDAN – “LOVE STORY”.
Rising Nigerian artist Coolkulture teams up with RIIIVER JORDAN for this heartfelt tune “LOVE STORY” which dives into the ups and downs of blossoming love between two individuals. The track has a soulful and solemn vibe and is filled with adulation and reflective lyrics from Coolkulture and a soothing hook by RIIIVER JORDAN.
MC Homeless – “Growing Up Punk” featuring Angelo Moore of Fishbone
MC Homeless teams up with the legendary Angelo Moore of Fishbone for this hard-hitting tune titled “Growing Up Punk.” The track has a blend of alternative punk-rock elements with classic boom-bap drum grooves and sees MC Homeless in his element as he details his childhood and the many experiences that shaped his music taste amongst other things.
