WodieBeats makes several contributions on this week’s playlist with his unique blend of contemporary sounds. The first cut is “Halcyon,” a cinematic piece with an ethereal pad, dark strings, underlying guitar riffs, and sturdy drum grooves. On “Breezy,” the producer goes for a soulful touch with R&B elements and crafts a warm and sublime piece with soft vocal melodies, pulsating bass-driven drums and welcoming horn riffs. The final track “MIA-MDE” evokes nostalgia with its 80s R&B aesthetic, complete with congas, layered pads and triumphant horn riffs.
Hard-working UK-based producer Sōra enters this week’s instrumental playlist with “Make It Count,” a mellow lofi/soul track that comprises summery sounds and an overall feeling of hope.
Turkish producer SaneBeatz takes listeners into “Avenue 86” in his latest release. Fusing 90s boombap sounds with cinematic jazz elements, the producer crafts an atmospheric and almost eerie piece that transports listeners into an uncharted world. Funky Notes and Ben Jammin’ Beats drop two cuts, “Running Out” and “Time and a Place,” on our playlist. The former has a punchy groove and a scenic, textured sound that evokes urgency and momentum, while the latter is reflective and warm. Canadian music producer C-Sol shares “Menchú,” an experimenatl instrumental from his new album, Balance. The track is a bare-bones, off-kilter piece underpinned by obscure sounds, brooding textures and trippy sound design. Chill4est takes us into the “Marshes” with their latest piece. The track has an ethereal and sublime vibe from start to finish. British music producer Benny Brassic gifts us with some relaxing sounds in their latest release, “Mog Mog,” while vhskid taps into the summertime atmosphere on the aptly titled “Island Radio”. South African producer Damien Sebe brews up some “matcha” for this week’s playlist. The track is a mellow modern lofi/jazz piece with layered keys, horns and warm pads.
