Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we look at some exceptional visuals from various acts around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades, through the 90s and 2000s, and it has taken flight from multi-million dollar budget music videos to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.
Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

bat zoo – “Lemon”
Singer/songwriter/producer bat zoo unveils the visuals for his new song “Lemon.” The track is a mellow R&B/soul infused ballad that explores the dynamics of relationships and the ups and downs that help make or break it. Over a brooding soul-stirring backdorp comprising soft sullen keys and warm pads, bat zoo shares his experiences as he weaves through emotional pain, heartbreak and the situations beyond his control. The accompaying visual employs subtle motifs and visual metaphors that allude to emotional distress, heartache and inevitable change.
Fliptrix x General Levy – “Energy! Energy! Energy!”
High Focus Records founder and UK Hip Hop trailblazer Fliptrix is always pushing the musical envelope with each release and on his latest “Energy! Energy! Energy!” he raises the ante with the help of jungle legend General Levy. Together the duo deliver a high-octane, action packed tune that will get the crowd on their feet. From the adrenaline pumping drum groove, cinematic textures and the rapper’s call to action on the chorus, they deliver a scorching summer jam that woud rattle live stages for the rest of the year. The visuals taps into the infectious energy of the track with a nice blend of performance shots, fast-paced cut scenes and clips of the duo rocking a live audience.
Odin27k – “WALTER WHITE”
Rising rapper/songwriter Odin27k caught our eyes and ears with “WALTER WHITE,” a lyric-dense piece that showcases his storytelling and forward thinking style. Over a jazz/Latin soundscape comprising warm, soulful keys and a bass-driven groove, Odin27k delivers a solid performance laced with vivid lyricism and an expressive flow to match. As for the visuals, we get to see him in his element as he does the very thing he loves the most.
Ruby Francis – “Lanzarote”
North London singer-songwriter, producer, and DJ Ruby Francis enters our video playlist with her new release “Lanzarote.” The track infuses elements of modern pop, R&B and a touch of soul and sees Francis in her element as she delivers a sultry and soul-stirring performance over a bubbly backdrop. The visuals showcase her unorthodox and unique style as Ruby Francis steps into the forefront with a eye catching stylish outfit punctuated by her unapologetic performance that runs through engaging set pieces. She is currrently working on her forthcoming sophomore album Pages of Philosophy which will be released on 18th July.
Damon Omen x $cream-capone – “Viola”
Producer Damon Omen and rapper $cream-capone team up for “Viola,” a raw lyric-dense piece that details the dynamics of life, loyalty and success. Produced by Damon Omen, the track has a brooding melody with punchy drums which set the stage for $cream Capone’s dark imagery and story telling skills.
Blaq Medici – “Blaq Cinema”
The NY underground hip-hop veteran Agallah The Don and producer Blaq Medici team up for “Blaq Cinema,” a cinematic piece that pays homage to classic black films from the 70s through to the present time. Blaq Medici’s soulful producton is a vital piece of the puzzle and adds the perfect foundation to Agallah’s story telling as he weaves through classic flicks like Claudine, Cooley High, Boyz N The Hood amonsgt others. The visuals were directed by Tyler Harrison who uses performance shots with moody lighting that capture the essence of the track.
