Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we look at some exceptional visuals from various acts around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades, through the 90s and 2000s, and it has taken flight from multi-million dollar budget music videos to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.

Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

 ElCamino connects with Boldy James and Double Dee for “Magic,” a single from the rapper’s new album, MINO. The track has a dark and cinemtic vibe and sees the Black Soprano Family member and his cohorts in their element. The visual has the standad performance scenes with moody lighting and seamless transitions.

 

 

 

Lil Fame (Of M.O.P.)- “Bout That Life” (Produced by DJ Skizz )

 

Lil Fame (Of M.O.P.) is all “Bout That Life” as he steps to the forefront with much gusto. Over a bouncy bass-heavy soundscape provided by DJ Skizz, Lil Fame brings back that Brookly energy with an OG pizazz. The classic sample is reflipped in the usual DJ Skizz fashion and is punctuated by Lil Fame’s infectious energy which is also translated into the engaging music video. The track is lifted from Lil Fame’s solo LP, Walk of Fame, coming soon!!

Northsidebenji – Chasing a High”.

 

Northsidebenji continues to drop new material with the latest being  “Chasing a High.” The solemn track sees the rising rapper reflecting on his life and the many experiences that reshaped his outlook. from loss, battling inner demons and working on himself, he gives his all to his fans. The visual style is a mix of raw unfiltered cut scenes with crisp aesthetics that captures the rising rapper in his element.

 

 

 

Michelle David & The True -Tones – “Speak To Me”.

Gospel-soul singer/songwriter Michelle David & The True-tones caught our hearts and ears with “Speak To Me”, a floor-shaking soul anthem announcing their forthcoming album Soul Woman. The track has a classic Motown-soul vibe with a Gospel undertone that is filled with soul-lifting lyrics that is much needed in these weird times.  The visual style also borrows from the retro space with a focus on perfomance and set pieces that pays homage to the musical style of yesteryear.

 

 

 

Lettuce – “Breathe”

 

The legendary funk sextet Lettuce help close this week’s playlist with the visuals for their song “Breathe,” a smooth jazz-soul instrumental piece that evokes nostalgia and blissful vibes. From the cinematic horns, pulsating bass-driven grooves and headnodding drums and keys, the track proceeds to break th mode a sit progresses into a funky section with plucky riffs and anthemic horn passes to close the deal.

The group is working on their forthcoming release of their latest full-length offering, Cook, due December 3, 2025 via the band’s own Lettuce Records.
